Well I put my old fury on tonight to see how it fit because I might use it in this upcoming meet since my katana seems a little too tight to touch an easy weight. I could probably touch with 455 in the fury which would be a decent opener. The first single with 465 I tried to arch again and I just can’t bench in a shirt with an arch, it probably doesn’t help that the fury isn’t for an arched bench. The second with 465 went better but I still arched too much. I’m still sick and I felt weak the whole workout, I dont’ suppose that helped either.

Last week for 10s on the deadlift, thank the Lord. My grip held up this week but I just couldn’t grind out that last rep on the last set even with the belt. Now I didn’t expect to get even 8 after how hard my second set was but I put on my belt loose so that probably helped some. The last few reps I could really feel in my glutes, I’ve never felt this before. I’m sick so I can’t complain too much about todays performance, I guess the sickness took tuesday off cause I felt great but then it hit me hard yesterday.

Good workout, I think I’m back to near 100% so I guess one day feeling like shit was alright as long as it only lasts that long. Hell even my right shoulder feels great after the heavy squats yesterday. I’ll continue to ice it but it seems to be close to 100%.

Well today I did not feel like working out at all, at lunch I actually said to myself that i wasn’t going to go but some how I felt a little better and decided I’d do what I could. Well my set of 445 was the hardest thing in the world, I actually had to put my belt on for my next set(all the sets are supposed to be with one but I wanted to get through this cycle without).
At this point I was convinced I wasn’t going to get to my weight of 605 but I did my jump set which felt good then my first set of doubles which wasn’t bad but wasn’t easy like it should have been. I really tried to psych myself up for it and the first one went well, the second one I think I blacked out a little bit but I got it. So I’ve now doubled my my 1RM at the beginning on this routine and if I could do it today on any good day I’d have at least another 15-20lbs in me for a double.

Another quick session, we just got back from our Provincial Championship meet this morning with no one having much sleep at all. Had to get the workout in though and I thought it went well for how tired I was.
